How It All Began

Seat of Wisdom School was founded on the 15th of January 1990 by four passionate teachers – Mrs. Ogbuefi Priscilla Uzowanne, Lady Rose Nwosu, Mrs. May Obiamiwe and Late Mrs Juliet Kuku. These great women, now in their eighties, each have at least fifty years of teaching and administrative experience. They were trained in the fifties and sixties by missionaries, who inculcated in them, discipline, charity, integrity, love for imparting knowledge and compassion for humanity

Director's Message

With much joy and grateful thanks to God, I am most appreciative that I have lived to see over two decades since the founding of our school. Seat of Wisdom School was founded on love of God, pupils, staff and community. This is the gospel we have preached and have continued to preach to our pupils and teachers since the inception of the school. I am proud to say that we have achieved this goal as evidenced by the loving interaction among pupils. Our past pupils attending post-primary institutions in the vicinity tend to be their brothers’ keepers. They spend time together and are regularly drawn to their Alma-mater to visit. It is always a joy to see them and inquire of their progress. In all these years, Seat of Wisdom has produced children of high moral and academic excellence, and is already making an impact on our society and with the special grace of God, future achievements will be even greater.

Mrs M.A. Obiamiwe
